The City of Tampa will celebrate the 35th anniversary of Paint Your Heart Out Tampa with a special flag-raising above Old City Hall on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the brick plaza at the corner of E. Kennedy Blvd and N. Franklin St. The ceremony will honor the volunteers and community spirit that have helped revitalize thousands of homes for Tampa’s elderly residents.
Founded in 1988, Paint Your Heart Out Tampa is a beloved community initiative that enlists volunteers to paint and refresh homes for low-income senior residents at no cost to them. Over the past 35 years, the program has transformed over 3,000 homes, strengthening neighborhoods and demonstrating the power of collective service. This year’s Painting Day is scheduled for April 26, and the City is seeking both homeowners interested in having their houses painted and volunteers looking to help.
