In an effort to bolster business opportunities and improve accessibility to solicitations, the City of Tampa has launched a comprehensive online resource, serving as a guide in How to Do Business with the City. Each year, the City of Tampa awards over $200 million in competitive contracts to businesses to meet the needs of our community. This resource includes departmental information, data search tools, vendor registration, EBO certification information, and bidding opportunities.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our community, and for many, this year has been the most challenging time of their lives. Every qualified local business should utilize this one-stop-shop to become a registered vendor with the City of Tampa, opening the doors to more city contracts and new opportunities for success,” said Mayor Jane Castor.

Businesses are encouraged to explore the opportunities available within the City procurement programs including, but not limited to:

  • Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) Certification
  • Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Certification
  • Women Business Enterprise (WBE) Certification
  • LGBT Business Enterprise Registration
  • Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business Registration (SDVOSB)

Mayor Jane Castor recently announced the addition of veteran-owned businesses to the City of Tampa’s Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) program. Learn more via the Veterans Day video announcement

“We are committed to helping our business community flourish and ensuring our small, women, minority and LGBT-owned business owners are aware of the resources available to them. This is just another example of how we are Transforming Tampa’s Tomorrow by streamlining and improving communication with our residents and stakeholders,” said Gregory Hart, Director of Equal Business Opportunity.
