TAMPA, FL (Tuesday, January 4th, 2022) On Sunday 01/02/2022, a female victim accepted a ride from a male acquaintance/suspect who then took her to the listed residence without her permission. A male victim was called to the residence at some point during the night hours and an argument ensued. The suspect then struck the male victim in the head with an object, killing him. On Monday morning, 01/03/2022, the female victim was able to request help from family members, via text, who then notified police.
A perimeter was established around the residence and contact was attempted. The female victim was then able to flee to safety. The suspect fled out the back of the residence and attempted to evade capture by hiding under the residence. A robot was deployed to view the crawl space under the residence before the suspect was approached and found him deceased with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. One firearm was found in his possession at that time. The residence was cleared for possible victims at which time the deceased male victim was located.
The female victim was taken to a nearby hospital where she is recovering. The investigation is ongoing.
