Starting at 9am on July 31, a Wastewater Department contractor will close the intersection of N Himes Ave and W Idlewild Ave for an emergency project to replace a manhole. Detour signage and traffic control devices will be in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes and use caution when driving in the area. Access will be maintained for residences and businesses in the area.
This work and restoration of the area is scheduled to be completed by Friday, August 11. Normal traffic patterns will then resume. A map of the work area and recommended detour routes is embedded below. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions.
