Beginning at 9am today, the outside southbound lane on Bruce B Downs Boulevard will be closed between Trout Creek Drive and Oak Preserve Boulevard while the Tampa Water Department conducts maintenance on the water distribution system. Barricades and signs will be located in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5pm today and then close again on Monday, May 1, at 9am to continue work. Starting May 1, lanes will reopen daily at 5pm and close again at 9am the following morning, until work is completed. Please use caution when driving in the area.
The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 5pm, Tuesday, May 2. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
