A portion of S Howard Avenue between Bayshore Boulevard and W Morrison Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 for building construction. A private contractor will be performing a water tie-in and installing driveway aprons and curbs on the east side of S Howard Avenue between W Southview Avenue and W Marjory Avenue.
The northbound lane on S Howard Avenue between W Dekle Avenue and W Marjorie Avenue will close at 9 am on September 20, 2022.
Northbound and southbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the west side of S Howard Avenue between W Dekle Avenue and W Marjorie Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.
Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via signage to other sidewalks in the area.
All lanes on S Howard Avenue between W Dekle Avenue and W Marjorie Avenue will be open by 4 pm on Friday, March 31, 2023, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
Northbound and southbound motorists can use S Rome Avenue between Bayshore Boulevard and W Morrison Avenue, in lieu S Howard Avenue.
