As part of the National Hispanic Heritage Celebration, the Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Committee (MHHC) has partnered with Alexander Elementary School. This is a predominantly Hispanic (95%), economically disadvantaged school. The school vision is to provide students with lifelong skills that promote creativity and foster independent thinking through an integrated curriculum in a safe environment. With that in mind, the MHHC set a course to collect donations with our community partners to assist with this vision.
