Tampa Police Investigates Robbery at Malibu Apartments

Tampa Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Malibu Apartments, located at 11711 N. 50th St. The incident took place on August 19, 2023 at approximately 11:30 p.m. 

An unknown black male suspect arrived at the location to attend a party when he was denied access by the victim. The unknown black male later returned with two additional unknown black males to confront the victim, at which point the victim was physically attacked by the suspects. The victim was carrying two firearms at the time of the attack, both of which were stolen by the suspects. All three suspects fled the scene on foot and were last seen headed northeast from the occurred location. 

The victim sustained minor injuries. TPD Officers were able to obtain video surveillance of two of the three suspects fleeing the scene. In the video, one of the suspects can be seen wearing a brown and gold hoodie with black pants. The other suspect wore a gray shirt and blue pants. 

This remains an active investigation, as detectives have been gathering evidence and developing leads in this case.
