Tampa Fire Rescue is proud to announce the addition of multiple new, state-of-the-art emergency response vehicles being added to its fleet. This significant upgrade includes three new fire engines, three new rescue cars, and two new Ambu-buses, all equipped with the latest technology to better serve and protect the Tampa community. This rollout marks a pivotal step in Tampa Fire Rescue’s ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and decrease emergency response times.
"We are grateful for the support of Mayor Jane Castor, our City Council, and the community, whose unwavering backing has enabled us to acquire these vital pieces of equipment," said Fire Chief Barbara Tripp. "Their trust and investment in public safety is invaluable, and we stand ready to serve our community."
