In advance of what is expected to become Hurricane Helene impacting the Gulf Coast, the City of Tampa is opening sandbag distribution sites begin tomorrow, Tuesday, September 24, at 8 a.m. Sandbag operations will commence at three locations for senior residents and those needing extra assistance. Starting at noon on Tuesday, sandbags will be available to all residents until 7 p.m. Operations will resume for all residents from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25.
