FEMA Assistance Available for Hurricane Victims

Tampa residents and business owners should apply for FEMA assistance as soon as possible.

Homeowners and renters in Hillsborough County, and other surrounding counties, are eligible to apply for valuable disaster assistance, which can include home and business repairs, temporary lodging, financial assistance due to displacement, personal property losses, and other uninsured or underinsured disaster-related expenses.

To apply, visit DisasterAssistance.gov, the FEMA App, or call toll-free (800) 621-3362. The application deadline November 27, 2024. To date, FEMA has approved more than $8 million to Helene victims.

To speak to a FEMA representative in person, residents can visit the City of Tampa’s Comfort Station at DeSoto Park (2617 Corrine Street). From 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., FEMA representatives are on-site, in addition to access to free laundry assistance, food, water, and charging stations.
