As part of Mayor Jane Castor’s ongoing commitment to inclusiveness, The City of Tampa is conducting a survey to better serve residents who are deaf or hard of hearing. The City of Tampa offers the Alert Tampa service to city residents who wish to receive emergency notifications. The notifications are provided to City residents who register for the services. The notifications are disseminated based on the preference of the individual including voice messages to home, work or cell phones, text messages, emails, and TTY/TTD. Individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing are requested to go to www.tampagov.net/alerttampa and click the survey button at the top of the page. The survey will be available now until August 21.

“I say it every single day, City of Tampa is the best city in the nation and with that comes an ongoing commitment to ensure all of our visitors and residents can enjoy the amenities, treasures, and adventures this great city holds.” Said Mayor Jane Castor. “We can assure you, we remain steadfast in providing an inclusive city experience for all to enjoy.”
