The City of Tampa today took another step to empower Tampa's communities by launching its new interactive Capital Improvement Projects Viewer. This new citywide mapping application allows Tampa residents to stay informed about projects throughout the City.

"This new interactive project viewer is part of our ongoing commitment to transparency in government," said Infrastructure and Mobility Administrator Jean Duncan. "Our goal is to make it easier for the public to track the progress of the infrastructure projects being managed by the City of Tampa."

Led by the City of Tampa's Water Department, and with support from multiple other departments and divisions citywide, the viewer provides the latest information about current and upcoming capital projects and is a great way to keep up with how we are improving Tampa's infrastructure citywide.

When using the interactive project viewer, you can select projects by zooming into the map, filter projects by type, gather contact information, and view project descriptions and schedules.

The project viewer is best viewed from a desktop computer or laptop via Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.
To get started, watch our video tutorial below from City of Tampa's YouTube page:

Then go online to tampa.gov/projects and see how we are Transforming Tampa's Tomorrow by informing residents of the current and upcoming water, wastewater, transportation, and stormwater projects currently underway, or soon to be underway, in their neighborhoods and community.

This new Capital Improvement Projects viewer includes the following:

  • A current list of capital improvement projects in the City of Tampa
  • A map with project locations
  • Project descriptions and cost
  • Project type and phase
  • Estimated completion date
  • Council district, neighborhood, or community redevelopment area
  • Contact information and more!
