Calvin Engram (pictured), 49 years old, was walking from his residence to a nearby gas station to get coffee, a daily activity before being picked up for work in the morning. Shortly before 5:00 AM on November 4, 2020, gunshots were heard on N. 32nd Street near E. Mohawk Avenue. Engram was found suffering from gunshot wounds. No property appears to have been taken and there is no indication he was involved in any type of altercation.
Calvin Engram died as a result of the injuries he sustained. Video surveillance from a nearby business indicates that a dark colored vehicle was in the area at the time of the shooting and left at a high rate of speed.
Tampa Police Homicide Detectives have been working to develop leads in this case and are asking for help from the community. Additionally, Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect(s) involved in the Homicide of Calvin Engram. Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect(s) and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800.873.TIPS, report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com, or send a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application. Crime Stoppers must be contacted first in order to be eligible for a cash reward.
In addition to the reward offered by Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay, additional reward monies of up to $4,500 are available through the Florida Association of Crime Stoppers, in partnership with the Florida Office of Attorney General. The additional monies are available through June 30, 2021. The tip must come through the Crime Stoppers program and lead to an arrest in order to be eligible for the additional reward.
