Blue lights will light up the sky across Tampa in honor of Master Patrol Officer (MPO) Jesse Madsen. The 16.5-year Tampa Police Department veteran was killed after a wrong-way driver crashed into his police vehicle shortly before 1 a.m. on March 9.
Beginning at sunset on March 9, Tampa Old City Hall along with the Downtown and Skyway bridges will shine blue throughout the seven-day mourning period in honor of MPO Madsen’s heroic service to the Tampa community.
