Tampa Police are investigating a fatal hit & run that occurred late Monday night. An adult white male in his 50’s reportedly stopped and exited his vehicle in the roadway of southbound N. 40th St. before walking into the intersection of E. Hillsborough Ave and N. 40th St.
The male was struck by a charcoal gray colored sedan, possibly a Chevy Impala (pictured below), traveling westbound on Hillsborough Ave. The male was struck again by a motorcycle also traveling westbound. He died at the scene as a result of sustained injuries.
The driver of the sedan failed to stop and fled the scene. The car may have damage to the front center bumper and hood.
The motorcyclist remained at the scene and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
