Water Distribution System Valve Assessment, Repair, and Replacement Project beginning Repair and Replacement Phase of Project on Monday September 14, 2020 through November 2, 2020

This information is 4 years 2 months old and may no longer be accurate.

The Tampa Water Department will begin the next phase of this project which will temporarily affect traffic patterns along the following streets intermittently:

  • Along W. Tampa Bay Boulevard, starting at N. Lois Avenue and moving east towards N. MacDill Avenue
  • Along W. Martin Luther King Boulevard, starting at N. Cortez Avenue and moving east towards N. Habana Avenue
  • Along N. Himes Avenue, starting at W. Tampa Bay Boulevard and moving north towards W. Hillsborough Avenue

Detours and road closures will continue to be clearly marked with signs and barricades to assist with traffic flows while this work is being performed. As always, work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The Tampa Water Department appreciates everyone’s patience as we upgrade the water distribution system.

This work is part of the City’s PIPES (Progressive Infrastructure Plan to Ensure Sustainability) Program and represents our continued commitment toward improving Tampa’s infrastructure.
