The Tampa Police Department Wants You!
We are only as strong as our relationship with the community! Together we have made great strides reducing crime and improving the quality of life in our community. The next step in that fight is asking you to join our department as an official TPD volunteer. We need your help in the district office closest to your home. You will get a behind the scenes look at how officers do their job and you will play an important role in helping us make our city safer.

How do I join C.V.A.P.?
Fill out the New Volunteer's Registration Form and submit it to the Tampa Police Department via mail or the email address below. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the CVAP program. After successfully completing a background check, you will be scheduled for an orientation tour and offered the opportunity to choose a unit to work in and duties to accomplish ( Volunteer Registration Form - PDF )
