This 1.1-mile sidewalk and bike facility improvement project consists of converting over 2,500 feet of existing sidewalk along West Cypress Street from the SR 60/U-Path to East Frontage Road to a 10-foot wide shared use path. Sidewalk connectivity will be made along East Frontage Road from Cypress Street to Lemon Street and shared lane markings will be added along East Frontage Road from Cypress Street south to Lemon Street and along Lemon Street from East Frontage Road to West Shore Boulevard.
Wayfinding signs will be added to complete the bike route connection from Cypress Pointe Park to the newly constructed shared use path along the west side of West Shore Boulevard (completed by FDOT under a separate project).
Construction for this project was completed in Summer of 2016.
