Mayor Jane Castor will proudly present a Key to the City to Isaiah Rodgers, a Tampa native and member of the 2025 Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Championship team, on Friday in a special ceremony to honor his achievements.
Rodgers, a 2016 graduate of Blake High School in Tampa, went onto play football for the University of Massachusetts. After being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 2020, he later joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, playing a role in their Super Bowl victory last month.
The key presentation, set for 4:30 pm on Friday, March 7, at the Hanna Ave City Center, will include appearances by Blake High School cheerleaders, bringing energy and excitement to the celebration of this hometown hero. Isaiah Rodgers will be in attendance to receive the honor.
“Isaiah has not only made our city proud, but has shown the world what it means to be a true Tampa success story,” said Mayor Jane Castor. “We are thrilled to recognize him as a hometown hero and are excited to give him the key to the city as a symbol of our gratitude for all he has achieved and the inspiration he provides to young people in Tampa who hope to follow in his footsteps.”
