This seven-mile asphalt multi-purpose trail lies on the east side of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. It offers access to commercial venues along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard as well as bridges and boardwalks over environmentally sensitive areas. Residents use neighborhood paths to link to the Bruce B. Downs Trail for access to Hillsborough County's Flatwoods Wilderness Park. The Amberly Drive Loop is 3.22 miles and the Tampa Palms Loop is 5.81 miles.
Flatwoods Wilderness Park, a Hillsborough County facility, boasts nine miles of smooth asphalt multi-use trail, as well as nature trails and other trails through the pine forests and cypress swamps. Flatwoods Wilderness Park also offers single-track mountain bike trails, dirt roads, and canoe access to the Hillsborough River. Ample parking is available at Flatwoods Wilderness Park for the Bruce B. Downs Trail.
