Beach Advisories ¶
- There are no swimming advisories at this time.
The Florida Healthy Beaches Program periodically checks the beach water quality for bacteria levels. In some instances, if the levels are high the beach may need to close until water levels are back to an acceptable level. Before visiting our beaches we recommend checking for any current advisories on the Florida Healthy Beaches website.
Cemeteries ¶
The following cemeteries are closed as clean-up continues from hurricanes Helene and Milton:
- Memorial Park, 2225 E Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
- Woodlawn, 3412 N Ola Ave.
Marti Colon, 3110 W Columbus Drive, is partially reopened. Please avoid areas that have caution tape around them.

Dog Park and Beach Notices ¶
- The Davis Islands Dog Park and the Davis Islands Dog Beach are closed because of damage from hurricanes Helene and Milton.
- Curtis Hixon Dog Park is closed from 2-4 pm every Tuesday and Friday for maintenance.
- Jim Urbanski Dog Park at Al Lopez Park is closed every Thursday from park opening until noon for maintenance.
- Queenie's Dog Park at Water Works Park is closed every Tuesday from 9 am to 1 pm for maintenance.
NOTE: Holidays could affect the day and/or time of the maintenance.

Fountain and Splash Pad Notices ¶
The splash pad at Ballast Point Park, 5300 Interbay Blvd., is closed (ongoing) because of damage from hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Park, Playground, and Trail Notices ¶
The following parks are closed because of damage cause by hurricanes Helene and Milton:
- Fernando Mesa, 2105 N Morgan St.
The following facilities at parks also are closed because of storm damage:
- AT Rollins Field at Port Tampa
- Forest Hills' tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, plus its football/soccer field
- Hyde Park's field and courts
- Henry and Ola softball field
- Picnic Island disc golf course
- Riverview Terrace Hockey Rink
- Yellow Jackets Fields
Additionally:
- The bathrooms at Hyde Park, 702 S Albany Ave., have been vandalized and are closed until further notice.
- MacDill 48 Park construction is ongoing. An opening date is to be determined.
- The zipline at New Tampa Nature Park is out of operation and closed until further notice.
Marina, Pier, and Boat Ramp Notices ¶
- Marjorie Park Marina, 115 Columbia Dr., was damaged by the hurricanes and is out of service.

Pool Notices ¶
- Roy Jenkins Pool, 154 Columbia Drive, was damaged by Hurricane Helene and will be closed into mid-2025..
- Bobby Hicks Pool,4120 W Mango Ave., lost a light pole in Milton and is restricted to daytime hours for the next several weeks.
- Sulphur Springs Pool, 701 E Bird St., is closed.

Recreation Center Notices ¶
The following recreation centers are closed because of damage caused by hurricanes Helene and Milton:
- DeSoto Center, 2617 Corrine St.
- Kwane Doster Community Center, 7506 S Morton St.
- Forest Hills Center, 724 W 109th Ave.
Additionally:
- The Joe Abrahams Fitness & Wellness Center, 5212 Interbay Blvd., was extensively damaged by storm surge from Helene and is closed indefinitely.
- Kid Mason Center, 1101 N Jefferson St., is closed for major renovations and is planned for reopening by early 2025.
