Founder Perry G. Wall was a probate judge and postmaster of Tampa. Thrice married, he had nine children. Son William W. was a veteran of the Civil War and a prominent local merchant. Grandson Perry G. Wall, II was mayor (1923-28) and founder of the Knight and Wall Company.
