Demolition of a Structure
This permit is required for the demolition of any existing structure and the associated debris removal and will be issued on the same day. Inspection for the same needs to be called in, once the site is ready before the demolition takes place. The Project Application must be completed. Electric Shutter
Along with standard Project Application and Owner's Permit Affidavit (if owner applying), this type of permit requires the submittal of two (2) sets of electrical plans, manufacturer specifications, and product approval. The manufacturer of the electric shutter and the product approval must be readily available to the Construction Inspector in the field.
Foundation Stabilization
Foundation Stabilization permits are required when the foundation of a property is compromised. Along with the standard Project Application, a signed and sealed Engineering report will be needed if the permit request is for underpinning. If installing piers, submit two (2) sets of signed and sealed building plans.
Manual Operated Shutters
Along with the standard Project Application, this type of permit requires manufacturer specification and product approval. This information needs to be readily available for the inspector in the field.
Moved Houses
House to be moved shall be relocated in accordance with the approved construction documents, and any changes made during construction that are not in compliance with the approved construction documents shall be resubmitted for approval as an amended set of construction documents. Two (2) sets of signed and sealed plans, two (2) sets of site plans, (1) sealed topographic survey, and the Project Application must be submitted for approval.
Seawall & Docks
This type of permit will be issued, to ensure that seawalls and/or docks are properly constructed, and design to ensure compliance with the City of Tampa Flood Damage Control requirements for a velocity zone. Along with the standard Project Application, a signed and sealed survey will be needed showing seawall location; wall section showing structural details will also be required. An engineer or architect's certification must be provided indicating compliance with the City of Tampa Code. Approval from Tampa Port Authority or Hillsborough County EPC is required, before submittal.

Along with the standard Project Application, this type of permit requires the submittal of two sets of signed and sealed building plans, product approval and the Owner's Permit Affidavit (if the owner is applying for a permit).All information must be readily available for the inspector in the field.
